Origin Institute is proud to introduce our all-new white card training program. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to work on a construction site or any workplace where requires a white card.
Origin Institute is accredited by the ASQA to deliver the CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry unit. Meanwhile, we are fully accredited by WorkSafe Victoria to deliver White Card training. The student will get a Victorian White Card once completed the above unit with Origin Institute. Victorian White Card is accepted Australia-wide.
Available Delivery Mode (Online and Face to Face)
Origin Institute offers both Online and Face to Face White Card classes in Victoria.
Our online white card course is approved by WorkSafe Victoria during the COVID-19 pandemic, so you can complete this course safely from your own home. We use Microsoft Teams as the platform to deliver the online live class, which provides a similar learning experience compared to a normal face to face class.
Currently, we have available face-to-face classes in Clayton and Lalor. More classes in other suburbs will be available in the near future.

How can I book a white card course?

How long does it take to get my white card?
Once you have completed the white card course with Origin Institute, we will send you a digital Statement of Attainment on the same day. The digital Statement of Attainment can be used as an interim white card for up to 60 days before getting your formal card. It means that you can start working once you get your Statement of Attainment from Origin Institute.
Finally, Origin Institute will apply for the white card on our students' behalf for no extra cost. Students will receive the white cards from WorkSafe Victoria in around 2-3 weeks by post.
Can I use the Statement of Attainment to apply for the owner builder from VBA?
If you are going to apply for the owner builder from the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), you must use the formal white card from the issuing authority such as WorkSafe Victoria. Please check with the VBA's website for more information.
I have a red card. Can I upgrade to the white card?
If you have a red card, you can upgrade it to a white card anytime by completing this white card training. Simply book the course from our booking website.
What's the difference between an online class and a face-to-face class?
Origin Institute is fully accredited by WorkSafe Victoria to deliver both face to face and online white card training. However, the online course is designed to provide a safe training environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the online course, the student must attend our online live class as like attending a face to face class. It is NOT a self-paced learning course. When you study a white card course with Origin Institute, no matter if you have enrolled in our online class or face to face class, you will use the same learning materials and assessment, and eventually, you will get the same white card from WorkSafe Victoria.
I lost my white card. Can I get a replacement?
If you have lost your white card and your card was issued by WorkSafe Victoria, you can simply contact WorkSafe Victoria to order a free replacement card.
I'm an international student. Can I study the white card course from Origin Institute?
Origin Institute is a registered CRICOS provider (ID: 03819k). We can accept international students to do our white card course as long as the students have a valid student visa subject to the actual visa conditions.
