The CPC50220 Diploma of Buildang and Construction (Building) is designed to enhance your employment prospects in the building construction management industry as an assistant site manager, estimator or contract administrator. With the necessary industry experience, you may be registered as a building practitioner in many categories or you may pursue further studies in construction management courses.
This course is recognised by the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).
What will you learn in the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) also known as a diploma in building construction management degree course. It is designed to meet the needs of the site supervisor, estimator, construction manager or builders. This course covers skills required in the building construction management industry such as OHS risk management, project risk and quality management, tender documentation, building codes, construction site supervision, structural principles, cost estimations, contractor administration, contract preparation, and much more for both commercial buildings and medium-rise residential projects.

DELIVERY METHOD
Blended Learning with Face-to-Face supplemented by Self-Paced Distance Learning. Sessions to be conducted in the Origin Institute head office, and in locations across Victoria when necessary.
COURSE DURATION
66 weeks (4 study terms).
The actual duration may vary base on learner's existing knowledge, skills and experience. This is determined through Origin Institute's pre-enrolment assessment process. Credit transfer may available for the student who has completed CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building).

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) AND CREDIT TRANSFER (CT)
Origin Institute ensures that RPL and CT is offered to all applicants on enrolment, through an RPL/CT eligibility assessment.
RPL candidates are to provide current, quality evidence of their competency against the relevant unit of competency. This process may be directed by the candidate and verified by the assessor, such as in the compilation of portfolios; or directed by the assessor, such as through observation of workplace performance and skills application, and oral and/or written assessment. Where the outcomes of this process indicate that the candidate is competent, structured training is not required.
